If you’re in a bind and find yourself with a flat tire, don’t panic! As soon as you notice the flat, stop in a safe area, put your vehicle in park, and set the emergency brake. Take out your jack and the lug wrench from the spare tire compartment. Securely place the jack underneath your vehicle, placing it on a solid surface.

Once the jack is in place, begin to raise the vehicle until the flat tire is off the ground. Remove the hubcap and loosen the lug nuts.

Now, lower the car and unscrew the lug nuts before removing the flat tire. Then, place your spare tire onto the wheel bolts and begin to tighten it with the lug wrench. Use the star pattern and tighten them as much as possible by hand.

Once all of the lug nuts are tight, raise the vehicle again and continue to tighten them until they’re all snug. Then, lower the car back down and add the hubcap. Now you’re ready to hit the road again!
