Belts and hoses have a number of jobs on your vehicle. The timing belt ensures that the engine runs smoothly, while hoses transport fluids throughout the vehicle. It's important to understand that belts and hoses wear out over time. Whether from use, or from age, you will eventually need to replace some of the belts and hoses in your vehicle.

If you are driving your vehicle, and it starts to slip as you are picking up speed, this can indicate your timing belt needs to be replaced. If your timing belt snaps completely, your engine will not work. Timing belts last roughly 80,000, and should be inspected periodically for signs of wear.

When you suspect you are having a problem with any belts or hoses on your vehicle, head to our service center at A-1 Auto Service Center for an inspection. We will look over your vehicle, and recommend any repairs that are needed.
